Where do you go from here and how do you show up as a leader?  Amidst the backdrop of a pandemic, political divide and growing distrust of our institutions -- businesses are moving at a new speed and have new challenges and opportunities to compete and grow.

In this talk, Professor Jennifer Aaker and Lecturer Naomi Bagdonas will discuss the power of humor and how you can harness it as a leader to disarm, encourage bold actions and give other people courage to do the same. The event will be moderated by
Joanna Maryewska, MBA '16.

Jennifer and Naomi teach the popular course "Humor: Serious Business" at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where they help some of the world’s most hard-driving, blazer-wearing business minds harness the power of humor to lead.

They've also written a book on the topic -- Humor, Seriously: Why Humor Is a Secret Weapon in Business and Life. In it, they draw on research from behavioral scientists, advice from world-class comedians, and stories from inspiring leaders to help you and everyone you know become more joyful and effective at work and in your life.
