Leah Weiss has been a lecturer at the Stanford Business School for 7 years with a specific focus on mindfulness and stress management. She is the author of two books, including How we Work. In more recent years she has honed in on the problem of burnout in the workplace, recently co-founding Skylyte, Inc. to help companies prevent burnout. This talk will cover 4 major topics:

1. What is burnout and how do we define and measure it?
2. How big is this problem? What are the financial, and physical impacts of burnout?  
3. What are the most important signs of burnout?
4. What can organizations, teams and individuals do about it?

The talk will include a 5-min mini self-assessment of burnout, the above overview and time for Q&A.
